Anu Shitta is the CAMHS Nurse Service Manager at Al Amal Hospital. Anu completed her BSc Mental Health Nursing at Kings College London, United Kingdom as well as Cognitive Behavioral therapy in Psychosis (CBTp) from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IOPPN).
Anu trained and has worked across various settings in South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Foundation trust for 13 years (over a decade). Anu has undertaken clinical and managerial posts across two boroughs within SLaM and CAG wide across Adult and CAMHS settings – forensic inpatient, home treatment (HTT), Early intervention psychosis and CAMHS crisis teams – Tier 3 and Tier 3.5. Anu was Clinical service lead for The Paediatric Liaison Team at Kings College Hospital London before moving into CAG wide Urgent care lead/crisis pathway lead leading the emergency and urgent care pathway within SLaM CAMHS and SLP (South London Mental Health and Community Partnership) CAMHS.
Anu has an ongoing passion for early intervention, early intervention psychosis and CAMHS and has spent the majority of her career in both clinical and senior managerial posts within the CAMHS setting advocating for excellent care for patients and their families.
