Ashick Hossany is the Director of Nursing for Maudsley Health, Dubai.
Ashick is a UK trained Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) UK and Ministry of Health and Prevention (UAE), he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mental Health Nursing from City University London.
In 2019 he joined Maudsley Health as the Senior Nurse Manager for the Adult Clinical Academic Group (CAG) at Al Amal Hospital, Dubai. He was then promoted to Deputy Director of Nursing in 2021 and took up the Director of Nursing post in 2022. Prior to Ashick joining Maudsley Health he acquired 10 years’ experience in the UK National Health Service (NHS) working in the prestigious East London NHS Foundation Trust where he had numerous roles and responsibilities, and played a part in achieving the overall ‘outstanding’ CQC rating for the Trust.
Ashick has extensive nursing management experience in a variety of services including Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acute care, Early intervention, Rehabilitation, Addictions, ECT, Outpatients and Community.
He has a keen interest in the area of service development and ensuring outstanding care is being delivered.
