Mohammad Shawish is an experienced Occupational Therapist at Maudsley Health Abu Dhabi. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2009 from Hashemite University, Jordan and is licensed in Jordan, Kuwait and the UAE. Mohammad has over 14 years of experience, primarily in mental health services. He has experience across diverse settings, including medical and neurological rehabilitation centers, special abilities centers and schools, and has particular expertise in establishing early intervention services.
Mohammad has a keen interest in teaching and has presented various trainings on areas such as sensory integration and handwriting skills to various audiences such as parents, teachers and other professionals. He is also skilled in developing and designing sensory environments for ASD and related conditions and is certified in specialised areas such as Handwriting without Tears and Psychodrama. Mohammad is passionate about the importance of parents’ empowerment and involvement to achieve the best outcomes for the children he works with.
